Rules for the
Implementation of the Patent Law of the People''s Republic of China is hereby
promulgated, and enter into force as of July 1, 2001.

第一章
总
则
Chapter I General Provisions
第一条 根据《中华人民共和国专利法》（以下简称专利法），制定本细则。
Article 1
These Rules are formulated in accordance with the Patent Law of the
People''s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as "the Patent
Law").
第二条 专利法所称发明，是指对产品、方法或者其改进所提出的新的技术方案。
Article 2
"Invention" as mentioned in the Patent Law means any new technical
solution relating to a product, a process or an improvement thereof.
